Title of Presentation: Analyzing Workability of Make in India – Initiative and its impact on Indian Economy
Make in India concept was first coined by Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Sh. Narender Modi on 25th September, 2014 putting emphasis on “Zero Defect-Zero Effect” system. The prime concern of the concept of “Make in India” is job creation by generating huge employment opportunities across the sectors. The skill enhancement of the 25 sectors termed as the backbone of the economy, to be focused majorly in the make in India initiative by inviting more and more FDI into these sectors. There are key policies suggested for make in India-Initiative a success. The basic goal is to create a manufacturing hub with the help of Make in India as by inviting International entities to India in order to promote production in the country itself. Make in India-Initiative is dependent on four pillars as new processes, new infrastructure, new sectors and a new mindset. The work ability part of “Make in India” has policies and schemes to be launched in the path making India as one of the leading nations of the world. The major emphasis on four policies as National Manufacturing policy, National Intellectual policy, FDI policy and New Initiative policy. There is a strong need to change policies and programmes across the sectors. The Government of India will have to create the conducive environment for business community. There would be a total revamp in the whole system to get the benefits of Make in India Initiative. I as a researcher can say that if we frame the right path then sky is the limit for Indian economy and the day is not far off when India would be in super club of developed nations.

Dr. Satish Chander Sharma is founder Chairman and Director General for Maharaja Group of Colleges, Udaipur, Rajasthan, which are Approved by All India Council for Technical Education, Ministry of HRD, Govt. of india, New Delhi and Affiliated to Rajasthan Technical University, Rajasthan, India. He is also currently Managing Director of FIC- India- Forum of international Consultant- India, a group of experts in various areas of Management, Technology and Education. He has completed post graduate degree in Applied Industrial Psychology, M.Phil in Organizational Behaviour from University of Delhi, Delhi and then pursued MBA in Human Resource and Ph. D in Business Administration. He has worked and associated with many premier management Institutions like IMT- Ghaziabad, IMS- Ghaziabad, Shri Ram Centre for HR & IR- New Delhi as a faculty and researcher. He has more than 20 years experience in management education field. He has started his educational entrepreneurial journey in 2000 from Chandigarh and Mohali by setting up two campuses of Management & Technology, Namely, SASIIT- Mohali & Indo Global Collages- Chandigarh. He is a regular visitor in national & international conferences as a keynote speaker & panel expert. He is also Ph. D guide and external examiner for many universities in India. He is a trainer for Stress Management and TA. He has published many books and more than 100 articles in management filed. He has been awarded with Gold Medal for Pre University and Graduate degree level. He has been also awarded by Governor of Punjab & Chandigarh for his leadership initiatives in education field. He has been associated as a member with Academy of Management- USA, Indian Commerce Association and Indian Economic Association. He is also associated with many reputed national and international journals as an advisor and editor. He has visited many countries like Malaysia, Nepal, Srilanka, Singapore and Oman. Currently, he is working on Entrepreneurial Projects for MBA & Technology Students with the only mantra that “BE Employer- Not Employee”. At the end he considers himself as a Learner, a Trainer and a True Teacher.
