Title of presentation: An Empirical Comparison of Statistical Packages using Data Generation from Beta Distribution: A Simulation Study
The study of the statistical packages, the most important aspect is the simulation from probability distributions. The study is based on simulation from Beta distribution conducted by various popular statistical packages like R, MS Excel and PASW. The precision of generated random data is tested through Chi-square goodness of fit test. This simulation study based on 8685000 random numbers and 27000 tests of significance shows the ability to simulate random data from Beta distribution is expected to be best R Language. The applicability of the study is to evaluate the best software for data analysis.
Dr Manash Praitm Kashyap completed his doctorate in stochastic models for comparing the consumer behavior of rural and urban marketing model from Assam University, Silchar in 2014. He completed his Postgraduate in statistics from Gauhati University. After completing his study he joined in Assam down town University as assistant professor. Presently, he serves as assistant professor in the department of Business Administration, North Eastern Regional Institute of Management. He is expertise in the field of Marketing Models, Operations Research and Distribution Theory.
